Snow Lake - Cascades, WA

| This is the Snow Lake near Snoqulamie Pass. It is a busy, busy, busy trail. Even on a weekday these were hundreds of people - throngs! But it was still a good hike. The trail starts out at the Alpethal Ski area and goes gently up through the forest for a few miles before hitting switchbacks. These were well graded and not overly steep, but steep enough to work up a sweat on a warm day. We hiked to the top and down the other side far enough to get a good view of the lake and find a comfy spot to rest. After an hour we headed back down...."hello" "hello" "Hello"...and so it went a few hundred ties till we reached the car. Tired of talking, we rode home in relative silence :) |
