Don't let the name fool you - we enjoy getting out to different parts of the Northwest,
not just our little piece of paradise near Spokane. The trails and climbs on the
west side of the state are usually pretty busy but not so much so that we'd pass
em up when given the opportunity. Teri enjoys biking so we have a few of her biking
trips on here. The kids would rather eat a bug than wander down a trail but we're
always looking for some of their activities to throw on here as well - video games,
crafts and lurking at the mall don't seem to fit the theme though. |

This is a route that starts at a trailhead at the Lake Ozette ranger station in Olympic National Park. A boardwalk trail runs from the trailhead three miles to Cape Alava. The route then goes south on the beach for three miles to Sand Point where another boardwalk connects back to the trailhead. We chose to do this route counter-clockwise because the boardwalk to Cape Alava has more ups and downs than the one to Sand Point plus the beach walk nea... |
